Spanish Football Fans

Spain is now in the final! Congratulations to all the spanish football fans! :)

That’s a pity, that Russia didn’t show a game like a previous one (with Netherlands, when Russia won 3-1) and get into final, its dream, but I think, that it’s not a shame to lose to such a strong team like Spain!

Euro-2008: Russia vs.. AGAIN Spain!

June 22, 2008

Now the world knows, who’s going to play with the Russian Team in the semi-final.

It’s Spain!

spain, euro-2008

During all the match (Spain-Italy, 1/4 final) nothing was changing: it was always 0-0: this game wasn’t as energetic as it supposed to be. I even think, it was a little boring, don’t you think so?

The last and the most important goal in this match was made during the penalty shoot-out by Francesc “Cesc” Fàbregas Soler, spanish football player. This precious moment made Spain the winner. By the way, that’s the first time in the last 88 years when Italy loosed to Spain!

I won’t make any predictions about the result of a semi-final match (Russia-Spain) on the 26th of June, because it’s just unpredictable! That’s the second time my country, Russia, is going to play with that Team.

russia, euro-2008

The first time wasn’t successful.. AT ALL! Because of these scary numbers: 4-1! That day I was thinking, that we’ll never get even in 1/4! And than.. a match with Greece (1-0).. than with Sweden (2-0).. And that amazing match with the Netherlands (3-1)!

All that I can say, is that the second game will be really interesting to watch.

Because Guus Hiddink and 11 Russian players are ready to make another try. I believe, that they won’t give up in any way!

Good luck to everyone!

Let’s wait for the big game!

Euro-2008: Russia-Netherlands: I’m proud!

June 21, 2008
  • Russia needed two extra-time goals to win and qualify for the semi-finals of8
Euro 2008. The result is 3-1: Guus Hiddink’s Russia outplayed Netherlands!

Russian Team did a great job.
    That was simply fantastic!!Arshavin!

I’m just so happy for them right now! I won’t be writing “HURRAAAAAAAY” or “WOOHOOOO” or “YEEEEAH” all over the post.. overrr and overrr again.. There’s no need to do it, ’cause I’m full of emotions right now!! You should understand it, because I’m a Russian football fan: of course I hoped, that Russia would win today.. But Netherlands is SUCH a power!! I respect this team. I also had a lot of doubts and I knew, that it’s not that simple to win that match! Look: in the last minutes Netherlands scored a goal.. we even needed extra-time to do it!

    But we DID IT!
Oh, I just wish you were here to hear ALL THIS noise! It’s almost 2 am, but if you walk outdoors you’ll see your neighbors standing near your house, embracing and talking about THAT awesome match, that has just finished..

    Pavlyuchenko!

That evening united people, even those who don’t know each other! And even if crying and car horns won’t stop until the morning, I’ll keep on smiling..

Because that’s what I call PRiDE.
    :-)

P.S. Now we’re waiting for you, SPAIN, to meet you again and (I hope!) to make a better result. Or for you, ITALIA. Today I don’t know, who’s going to play with Russia, but tomorrow we’ll SEE!
